Huge Win for Maryland!

A federal judge has dismissed a court challenge to Maryland’s law passed in 2018 prohibiting the sales of puppies and kittens in pet stores. “Protecting consumers, reducing financial support for mill breeders, and encouraging pet adoption are indisputably legitimate state interests,” Judge Ellen Lipton Hollander said in the ruling. We commend  Judge Hollander for ruling in favor of the 2018 law signed by Governor Larry Hogan that bans the sale of cats and dogs in Maryland retail pet stores that took effect January 1, 2020.
