Maryland Becomes the 10th State to Ban Wild Animals from Traveling Acts and Circuses!

Thanks to Governor Wes Moore for signing SB 547/ HB 379 into law. We are grateful to our bill sponsors Senator Sarah Elfreth and Delegate Sara Love for making Maryland the 10th state to pass legislation prohibiting elephants, big cats, bears, and non-human primates in traveling acts and circuses. Maryland has sent a clear message that our state will not support this outdated and cruel form of entertainment!
